General terms and conditions

  1. Purpose and scope of application
These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all bed and breakfast bookings made with Château de La Vigne, an establishment registered with the Aurillac court under number 917 745 523. By making a reservation, the customer accepts these terms and conditions without reservation.
  2. Booking and payment
Reservations for guest rooms can be made by telephone, e-mail or online via the establishment’s website. Reservations by telephone or e-mail will only be confirmed on receipt of a deposit equivalent to 30% of the total cost of the stay by bank transfer. The balance is payable on arrival. For bookings made online via the establishment’s website, the total amount of the stay must be paid when the order is placed on the website. Any consumption or additional services not ordered at the time of booking must be paid to the establishment at the end of the stay.
Reservations can also be made on partner websites, in which case they will be subject to the conditions specific to each partner.
  3. Tourist tax
The tourist tax is a local tax that customers must pay to the establishment, which then transfers it to the Treasury. The tax is payable per person per night. The amount is set each year by the Pays de Salers Community of Communes. The rate set for 2023 is €0.83 per person per night. Children under 18 are exempt from tourist tax.
  4. Cancellation by the customer
In the event of cancellation by the customer of a reservation made by e-mail or telephone, the deposit will not be reimbursed. For bookings made via the establishment’s website, cancellations made between 10 days and 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date, the amount corresponding to 50% of the booking will be retained. For cancellations made before this deadline, only the bank commission fee will be retained (1.5% of the total amount + €0.25 for standard European cards and 2.5% of the total amount + €0.25 for British cards). For cancellations made 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date, the full amount of the reservation will be retained.
  5. Cancellation by the establishment
In the event of cancellation by the establishment for reasons beyond its control, the deposit will be refunded to the customer for reservations made by e-mail or telephone. For bookings made via the establishment’s website, the full amount of the booking will be refunded.
  6. Arrival and departure
Check-in times are between 6 pm and 10 pm. Guests must vacate their rooms between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the day of departure. In the event of early departure, the full amount of the stay is due. As an exception, the Troubadour and Louis XV rooms, which are classified as Historic Monuments and are open to visitors during the day, will only be available from 7 pm onwards. The customer must arrive on the day and at the times specified above. In the event of late or delayed arrival, the customer must inform the owner.
  7. Capacity
Reservations are made for a specific number of people. If the number of guests does not correspond to the number declared at the time of booking, the establishment is entitled to refuse additional guests or to charge for them.
  8. Pets
At the time of booking, it is specified whether or not the customer may stay with a pet. Should the customer fail to comply with this clause, the establishment may refuse to accept pets.
  9. Breakfast and packed lunch
Breakfast is not included in the room rate. Packed lunches are only available to guests staying at the château and must be booked 48 hours in advance.
  10. Use of the premises
The customer must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose. He/she undertakes to return the room in the same condition as when he/she arrived.
  11. Liability
The establishment declines all responsibility for any theft, loss or damage occurring in the rooms or common areas of the establishment. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the premises during their stay.
  12. Modification of the general terms and conditions of sale
The establishment reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions of sale at any time. The conditions applicable are those in force at the time of booking.
  13. Disputes
